Why is V-Day popular right now?

-1
V-Day stands for "Victory Day," and was celebrated at the end of WWII on the European front. Today, many people are incorrectly using V-Day to refer to Valentine's Day because they are too lazy to actually type out the word Valentine's, proving that Twitter, and the Internet as a whole, are just a bunch of lazy people (as of February 11 at 17:11 UTC)
